The Refill Program (How It Works)

Your Signature Vessel is designed to be enjoyed again and again.

1. Call us to schedule a time to bring your vessel to our studios.
   
2. Choose any fragrance from our available lineup.
   
3. We clean, prep, and rewick your vessel.
   
4. Your candle is freshly poured on the spot.
   
5. Refills set in about 45–60 minutes — relax in the cabin, enjoy the creek or browse while you wait.
   
6. Enjoy three included refills during the first 12 months.
   
7. After that, refills are offered at a discounted refill rate.

Meet the Artist

Richard Mulligan is an artist living and working out of Aurora, Illinois.

Traditionally trained in interior design, Richard earned his BFA from the Harrington Institute in Chicago before turning his focus toward ceramics and sculptural work.

His pieces blend both functional and decorative sensibilities: hand-formed vessels, sculptural objects, tactile surfaces, organic silhouettes, earthy, nature-inspired textures. Every piece invites the viewer — and the user — into a moment of stillness. These vessels are not just candle containers they’re keepsakes, artworks, and part of the story our studio tells.

Lumen Creek Studios is proud to collaborate with Richard Mulligan, a ceramic artist whose work captures the same warmth, grounding, and intentionality that defines our studio. He creates each piece with a slow, mindful approach — forming shapes by hand, using minimal tools, and allowing the natural grooves of his fingers and palms to remain visible. The result is pottery that feels alive, deeply human, and rich with texture and meaning.
